Our Amazon Payments team is looking for a highly qualified and highly motivated Business Analyst.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a track record of navigating successfully through ambiguity, gathering business requirements and creating BI and analytics solutions that have measurable customer impact, and demonstrating exemplary written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will have to set the right vision, strategy and roadmap and work alongside with stakeholders in the organization to make it happen. The candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets, and can partner effectively with business leaders to answer key business questions. The candidate will need to be a comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, able to lead a team to innovate and think big, while diving deep to meet our bar for quality and accuracy.
Key job responsibilities
-Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. within SQL, Redshift, and QuickSight.
-Define the data elements and data structure that our team should leverage to enable analytical and reporting capabilities for our marketing team
-Design and influence best practices for reporting and analytics to enable the team to scale
-Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable formats

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Experience with Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
