Job Description
As the Marketing Budget Manager at Sprinklr, you will play a critical role in optimizing and managing the budget allocation for our SaaS product company's marketing initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams within the marketing department to ensure efficient resource utilization and alignment with strategic goals. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to drive data-informed decisions to achieve our marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Budget Planning and Allocation:
· Collaborate with the VP of Marketing from different functions to develop the annual marketing budget, aligning it with the company's growth targets.
· Allocate budget resources across various marketing channels and campaigns, considering ROI and strategic priorities.
· Monitor budget utilization and provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting variances and recommending adjustments.
2. Financial Analysis:
· Conduct thorough financial analysis to assess the effectiveness of marketing spend and identify areas for optimization.
· Implement cost-saving measures without compromising the quality of marketing initiatives.
· Analyse market trends and competitive landscapes to inform budget decisions.
3. Forecasting and Reporting:
· Create accurate forecasts for marketing expenses and performance metrics.
· Generate comprehensive reports on marketing budget performance, KPIs, and ROI for presentation to senior leadership.
· Provide insights into trends and recommend adjustments to optimize budget allocation.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
· Work closely with marketing teams, including demand generation, content marketing, product marketing, and events, to align budget allocation with their specific objectives.
· Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure accurate tracking, reconciliation, and compliance with financial policies.
5. Risk Management:
· Identify potential risks and opportunities related to marketing budget management and propose mitigation strategies.
· Stay updated on industry best practices and trends to adapt the budget strategy accordingly.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or finance-related certification is a plus.
· Proven experience (5+ years) in marketing budget management, preferably in a SaaS product company or tech industry.
· Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
· Proficiency in financial planning and forecasting tools.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Familiarity with marketing automation tools and marketing metrics.
· Knowledge of SaaS and technology industry trends is a plus.
