Description Robert Half has an opportunity available for a bookkeeper interested in a permanent position. This Bookkeeper position would be best suited for organized and self-driven accounting professionals that are seeking a role with a deadline-driven environment and minimal supervision. As the Bookkeeper, you will supervise the month-end closing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliation. Also, the Bookkeeper will handle coding, light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation and perform data entry, cash applications, and full cycle A/P. Your responsibilities
Keep sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Complete Accounts Payable
Other unique projects when they come up
Put subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirements together
Update general ledger
Guide monthly accounting close
Capable in credit card management and reconciliation
Assist with monthly accounting close
Produce cash flow projections, as needed
Accounts Receivable
Assemble monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents Requirements - Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well
Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Credit Card Reconciliation experience
Expense Reporting experience
Well-founded grasp of Purchase Orders
Proven knowledge of Sales Tax
QuickBooks experience desired
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
5+ years of related experience - Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferredAttentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
