JOB REQUIREMENTS: Body Shop Manager - Summary Develops business throughinsurance adjusters, customers, and other sources to assure an adequatesales volume. Provides a reasonable department operating profit andmaintains customer satisfaction standards while controlling expenses.Directs the activities of body shop employees in performing bodyrepairs, including meeting time schedules and productivity levels andmaintaining quality standards. Body Shop Manager - Essential DutiesForecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meetthem. Hires, trains, motivates and monitors the performance of all bodyshop employees. Prepares and administers an annual operating budget forthe body shop. Directs and schedules the work of all body shopemployees. Establishes and maintains good working relationships withinsurance adjusters. Establishes and maintains good workingrelationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.Implements aggressive marketing plan to increase body shop business.Monitors technicians\' daily productivity reports and correspondingpayroll records. Gives fair estimates on costs and time required forbody work. Follows up on parts department orders to ensure partsavailability. Monitors progress and completion of vehicles in the shop,ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed.Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conductsperiodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.Checks quality of completed work. Handles customer complaintsimmediately and according to dealership\'s guidelines. Body ShopManager - Education and/or Experience High school diploma or generaleducation degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/ortraining; or equivalent combination of education and experience.One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to sixmonths related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience. Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent fromtwo-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience. Bachelor\'s degree (B.A.) from four-year college oruniversity; or one to two years related experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience. Two to four yearsrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.
