We play a significant role in shaping our communities through the services we provide and are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives.The technology team offers planning and design services in a wide range of specialty areas including: audiovisual, IT/telecommunications, building security, lighting, healthcare technologies, and architectural acoustics/noise vibration.The BIM Coordinator will coordinate the drafting work of our Aviation team of technology designers. Systems typically include IT/Structured Cabling, Electronic Security Systems and Audiovisual Systems. This position requires performing Revit model set-ups and coordinating the drafting work of others on the Aviation team.Desired location for this position is Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities
Perform initial Autodesk Revit model set-upsAttend BIM Execution Plan meetings with Architects and the rest of the design teamCoordinate the work of other Revit drafters as needed, ensuring that all work is completed on time with a Best-in-Class level of qualityUtilize Revit to produce high-quality project documentation with accuracy and efficiencyAdhere to drafting and engineering design standards, suggesting improvements where applicableAssist in the final assembly and submission of drawing setsCoordinate with Architects and other design team members as neededManage priorities with various project leaders and with consistent workflow; assist in resource planning and allocation to ensure project deadlines are met.Work independently and in a team environment with project managers and architectural clientsComplete project related organizational and administrative dutiesThe successful candidate will be required to stay abreast of emerging CAD/BIM technologies products/services, guidelines, standards and their applicability to potential projects
Qualifications
Completion of a certificate/diploma in Computer Aided Drafting from an accredited school, or commensurate experience in Revit draftingEight years full-time experience drafting in a professional environmentExpertise in the use of Autodesk Revit MEP or Revit ArchitectureExpertise in architectural drafting standards and methodologyWorking knowledge of Blue Beam and Microsoft OfficeCompetency in the use of email, file management, uploading/downloading of files to/from FTP sites and basic computing tasksAttention to detailExcellent verbal and written communications with clientsOrganizational skills and the ability to be flexibleHave an ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.The applicant should be a self-starter and be able to work autonomously or within a groupMust be able to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of timePrior experience in the drafting and documentation of audiovisual systems, IT/telecom, structured cabling, security systems, lighting systems and/or electrical systems is not required, but a plus
