A Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, on DaVita's NephrologyPractice Solutions' Analytics Team, creates, manages & enhances ourbusiness intelligence system; which, in-turn, helps us make betterbusiness decisions & deliver first-class healthcare to our patients!
The successful BI Developer has a true love of data, is curious to explore& is passionate about improving the delivery of healthcare. This rolerequires an analytical mind, problem-solving aptitude & a solid technicalacumen; which includes programming experience & an ability to learn newapplications quickly. Outstanding communication skills are a must, as thisrole requires regular interactions with key stakeholders across theorganization. EPIC, ALTERYX and/or prior healthcare experience is a huge plus!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Total Allocation of Time - 100%
Develop data sources, automation workflows, and ad-hoc reporting - 50%
Design & develop validation procedures to test for data accuracy -20%
Collaborate with developers, analysts & stakeholders to achieve projectgoals - 15%
Develop data integrations - 10%
Other duties, as assigned - 5%
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
High level of technical acumen & expertise in one, or more, of the following:
ALTERYXEPIC/CLARITY DATABASESPYTHONORACLE/SQL SERVERExperience creating, manipulating & validating complex datasets
Capable of learning, understanding & applying new technologies
Ability to distill complex topics into understandable explanations & deliverappropriate & effective Executive-level communication
Translate business needs to technical specifications
Proven competence working creatively & analytically, in a problem-solvingenvironment; demonstrating teamwork, innovation & excellence
Ability to research best practices, within & outside the organization,to establish benchmark data & use continuous process improvement disciplinesto achieve results
Demonstrated adaptability to shifting priorities, demands & timelines,through analytical & problem-solving skills
Self-motivated & decisive, with an ability to adapt to change &competing demands
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering orrelevant field
1 - 2 years of healthcare experience
1 - 2 years of experience in SDLC Methodologies (e.g. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall)
In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analyticalprocessing (OLAP) & ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)
