Sotheby’s is seeking a Benefits Associate to join the Human Resources team. Reporting to the US Health & Wellness Manager, this role will be responsible for administration of US and Canada employee health, wellness, leave and retirement benefit plans at Sotheby’s.
You are a Benefits professional with drive, initiative and a passion for benefits. You are analytical by nature and are comfortable managing large data sets. You are detail oriented and enjoy the technical aspects of benefits. You are a collaborative, team player with the ability to successfully coordinate and communicate across various HR, Payroll and Finance teams. You are passionate about benefits. RESPONSIBILITIES
Interface with HR Business Partners, Finance and Payroll regarding Benefits policies, practices and communications. Oversee the US Benefits inbox to resolve employee inquiries in a timely and efficient manner, escalating inquiries or issues when necessary Manage new hire orientation, processing QLE enrollments quickly and accurately Assists with benefits administration including but not limited to: ACA, enrollment, termination, COBRA administration, correcting billing issues, assist with organizing open enrollments, tracking eligibility, and communication with broker, insurance companies, and employees; administer and track employee leave and retirement plans, Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS/Benefit system to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information Process and review semi-monthly/weekly payroll deductions to ensure accuracy Review, track and submit vendor invoices and payments Oversee the invoice reconciliation and payout process with Finance/AP for Benefits Maintains the department shared drive and updates team documents as needed and provide ad hoc analyses and reporting on benefits Manages the Benefits team’s employee/knowledge Library portal- The Workplace Support the administration of Benefits plans and the overall year-end process Communicate to stakeholders in a timely manner Performs other special projects and duties as needed. IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
3+ years of experience in benefits Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities Manages time efficiently and promotes collaboration and accountability Highly organized with solid administrative/follow-through skills, detail-oriented Problem solving skills - ability to analyze, find creative solutions and make recommendations to effectively resolve issues Strong team player with client service orientation Strong attention to detail and precise follow-through Ability to prioritize effectively and excellent attention to detail Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills) Ability to provide high quality employee experience. The proposed base salary for this position ranges from $65,000-$80,000. In addition to base salary successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus, as well as a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
