Description:
Avionics Technicians are specialists who are responsible for all of the electronics aboard the aircraft, as well as the wiring that connects to the electrical system. This position requires in-depth experience with installing new avionics packages and integration with existing components. They work on civilian aircrafts: king air, caravan and DC-10 to fly mission.
Essential Functions:
• Support daily flight operations, pre- and post-flight inspections.
• Install, inspect, and maintain avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, navigation, as well as electrical system wiring and Project integration on King Air aircraft.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot avionic and electrical issues that may arise during aircraft operation and ensure the equipment meets mandated requirements and specifications.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships by providing information relating to status of current work orders or projects.
• Interface with domestic and foreign government representatives regarding the use of local logistical infrastructure.
• Must be available to work scheduled hours in the scheduled locations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
-4+ year of King Air or relevant aircraft experience. (PT6, Garmin 1000, Pro-line)
-Strong troubleshooting abilities and schematic interpretation experience.
-Custom installation experience.
-Working knowledge of applicable FAA standards.
-Ability to secure & maintain a secret level security clearance.
-Tools required.
-Seeking someone that has more commercial avionics experience rather than military. Garmin 1000, more commercial used things that they use daily. non-military audio panels, non- military GPS. autopilot is important there because of pilots fatigue, radio, navigation.
