Broker & Market Management: Building Lasting Partnerships Be the heart of our broker relationships, delivering outstanding service and being the go-to problem solver. Engage actively in field visits, broker interactions, and pivotal corporate events, nurturing our connections. Skillfully negotiate terms and conditions, balancing firmness with empathy. Assess new and renewal business for risk and profitability, leveraging your expertise in underwriting data, guidelines, and company standards. Stay ahead of market trends, delivering insights that shape our strategies. Commit to broker satisfaction through prompt, thoughtful responses. Grow your underwriting acumen, focusing on coverage nuances, pricing strategies, and market dynamics. Drive underwriting profit, organic growth, and meet revenue targets through strategic decision-making. Business Management: Steering Towards Excellence
Analyze and manage risks for sustained portfolio profitability, adapting to market fluctuations. Build a comprehensive understanding of diverse market solutions, including our Lloyd's network. Negotiate and strategize for business acquisition and renewal, focusing on long-term profitability. What You'll Need for Success At least 1 year of Property and Casualty Underwriting experience. Progress towards your CIP Designation, demonstrating your commitment to professional growth. MGA experience (preferred but not essential). A keen eye for risk assessment and a flair for creative underwriting solutions. Proven decision-making skills, underpinned by a strong knowledge base. Ability to build and maintain productive relationships across the industry. A strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and a team player attitude. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation prowess. Time management skills that align with our goal-oriented, self-starter culture. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with broker management systems like TAM or Policy Works. Willingness to travel within Winnipeg for broker visits and meetings.
