About the role
The purpose of this position is to lead individual, multi-disciplined real estate facility construction project solutions for out industrial clients, with direct accountability for project delivery. The role will also provide administrative support to the Project Management team including organization of documentation, safety records, and vendor coordination. Role requires an onsite presence 5 days a week at our client's power plant/manufacturing facility in Wilmington, NC.
What you’ll do
Leads all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual facility construction projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard documents affecting real estate projects, including but not limited to agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and risk identification.
Identifies project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists; Conducts simple request for proposals; completes bid analysis with management support. Recommends resources to clients.
Leads project resources/team (typically smaller team) providing project mentorship and direction to achieve project goals.
Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources advised. Facilitates project meetings.
Implements project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensures project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.
Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Builds action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure Client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to resolve impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk with management support.

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly sophisticated problems.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience with Smartsheet and Bluebeam is a plus.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
