Job Description
The role
Checkout.com is actively looking for a passionate and driven Associate to join the Strategic Finance and Planning team.
As part of the team, you will be a dedicated business partner supporting our Executive team and their direct leadership teams. You will be engaging with our stakeholders on numerous business critical requirements ranging from headcount planning to ensure resourcing needs are met and align with the business roadmap, to producing the budget for all associated costs, spanning the complete P&L.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and capable of independent work, as both business partner to departments and internal finance teams across the organisation’s entities. You should be organised, adaptable to the changing demands of the role, and have a keen desire to understand the business and build scalable processes.
Strategic Finance and Planning is a critical function sitting at the center of the broader finance team to help the CFO and other senior leaders. The team runs our planning, forecasting and budgeting processes across the organization. You'll play a central role in implementing new processes in a fast-scaling international organization.
How you'll make an impact:
To manage the budgeting process, gathering requirements and necessary data points, setting appropriate timetables and ensuring all activities are being completed by stakeholders and finance teams alikeTo produce accurate and thorough financial analysis, presented in a meaningful and focused way, enabling decision makers within the organisation to make fully informed and financially sound decisions Enact process change & best practice to facilitate flow of information between management accounts teams and FP&A Provide timely data and analysis which will be consolidated within group budgets and reporting Work together with central finance teams to maintain alignment between FP&A & central finance reporting structures Qualifications What we’re looking for
3-5 Years of experience in strategic finance, or FP&A-specific experienceAdvanced Excel, analytical, and critical thinking skillsForecasting system knowledgeExcellent communicator - ability to clearly articulate insights, influence and align stakeholdersAttention to detail and proactive about identifying problems and implementing solutionsSelf-starter with a proven track record of enacting change in a fast-paced environment Experience in Financial Services and Payments a plus but not required
