About the Role
Location: Prague, Czech Republic #LI-Hybrid
The purpose of this job is to ensure that a Business Continuity Management & Novartis Emergency Management (BCM & NEM) organization is established and maintained at IT level, to be able to respond timely and effectively to any emergency or disruptive event with the aim of proactively ensuring that our patients and customers receive their medicines and services without interruption, securing our company assets and key business processes; as well as minimizing the impact of emergencies on patients, associates, supply, assets and enhancing our long-term reputation.
Your key responsibilities:
• Support Business Continuity strategic initiatives and programs across IT, and ensure implementation by the IT functions of the Novartis BCM and NEM framework in IT
• Support the Global BCM & NEM team driving global initiatives, e.g. Catastrophic loss of IT (CARBON) and the Novartis Infectious Disease Framework (NOVID), and coordinating its activities and plans.
• Maintain an overview of NEM preparedness of the different IT functions and report as required, while supporting with their annual testing, deficiencies remediation, and re-testing
• Support the identification of Business Units requirements, aligns strategy to scope of critical IT BC initiatives, and drive measurable results aligned with IT process and solution standards
• Lead the IT NEM community and awareness programs, creating where necessary relevant IT materials and dashboard to ensure engagement & understanding among associates, as well as driving related trainings.
• Responsible for IT NEM tools, processes, and controls, and support IT NEM related audits.
• Act as an ambassador for the Global BCM & NEM team in IT and ensure a first line of support for questions and queries from the different IT functions
• Support implementation of corrective actions realized during BCM & NEM exercises and/or real incidents and escalate if needed
• Implement, maintain, and test IT related response plans and support the integration of NEM into IT risk management process
• Help establishing communication protocols/tools for and beyond IT for major incident/disaster handling

Role Requirements
What you'll bring to the role:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT or Business
• Knowledge of Business Continuity methodology and program implementation experience preferred
• Understanding of risk management concepts and principles
• Trained/qualified Crisis Management
• Proven track record in successful implementation of mobilization, response, and crisis management processes
• Experience in the healthcare industry and good understanding of the overall business and its operations
• Ability to build trusted relationships quickly and effectively with all levels of people of the organization, incl. Senior Management, and strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong delivery focus, as well as ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem solving
