　　The Hartford's Enterprise Billing and Audit organization is looking to transform billing landscape and we are looking for a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to play a key role in supporting this effort. This role will be part of our release train, working in close partnership with architects and development teams to migrate applications into Cloud as well as design and develop new applications.

　　This is a technical role, that will be part of an agile team and partner with a vendor to achieve business outcomes on a large transformational program. The Solutions built should be based on Hartford's architectural standards, business requirements, technology roadmap and industry trends. The primary objective is to enable our customer experience and speed to market while providing flexibility and scalability to execute on the broader Enterprise Billing and Audit Strategic Roadmap.

　　Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate experience in delivering quality technical solutions that are stable, performant, and secure. Solid technical acumen, excellent leadership skills, partnership and collaboration skills are plus.

　　Responsibilities / Job Description:

　　Use AWS for building, deploying, and migrating legacy applications to Cloud. Amazon Web Services usage includes but not limited to Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, AWSBatch, AWSDirectory, Service Catalog.Writing and using scalable and secure API's.Enhance or convert existing components in Oracle relational database technologies.Leverage architectural standards and safeguard the integrity of the application environment, in alliance with architect and tech lead.Design and implement new software architecture patterns in Cloud that are scalable, reusable, secure, and cost efficient while adhering to industry standards such as multi region support with fault tolerant and data replication strategies.Use DevOps and CI/CD tools. Develops Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation templates, YAML files, build specifications, and Python Lambda functions to have a completely automated build and release process for all AWS resource infrastructure and code artifacts.Implements proactive monitoring and observability to predict and detect abnormal system behaviors, with timely alerts avoiding system impacts. Troubleshoot problems with software and infrastructure.Provide concise, transparent communications about potential risks, mitigations, and business impacts quickly.Present new ideas to leadership and bring forward improvement opportunities as learnings.Communicate clearly and professionally both in speech and in writing.Design solutions and be able to understand technology trade off risks and rewards for the best customer value delivery.Function as the go-to technical subject matter expert for the software application migration to cloud and integration aspects.Share knowledge with team members (including Sourcing Partners) regarding development guidelines and best practices.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Take ownership to drive innovation for effectively leveraging technology to solve the customer problem.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math, or any Engineering.Must have an active AWS associate certification.3+ years of hands-on experience in application software solution development and execution. Software development knowledge using AWS resources like Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Route 53, VPC, AWS Batch, AWS Directory, Service Catalog is preferred.2+ years of hands-on experience with Java and J2EE technologies, such as, Java Web Services, JMS, XML, JSON, JDBC etc. Along with experience in creating Web Service (SOAP and Rest) using Java Spring boot. Understanding of Batch and MQ is preferred. Experience with one or more relational database technologies such as Oracle Database.3+ years of systems design experience along with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies.Experience in front end technologies like angular is a plus.Understanding of microservices, swagger and APIC is a plus.Experience using GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, uDeploy , Rally, checkmarx etc or AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy and AWS CodeStar.Infrastructure as Code experience, like CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK is a plus.Proven ability to work with cross functional teams.Possess analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization and influence leadership.Awareness of full software development life cycle practices and the ability to follow source code management, code quality and testing practices. Familiar with Agile methodology. Experience working in an Agile or SAFe development environment.Demonstrates high-level of independence, self-motivation, good judgment, and active listening skills.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Hands-on experience with AWS resources like Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, AWSBatch, Service Catalog is a plus.Technical knowledge of AWS application development and Data Integrations.Hands-on experience on relational database like oracle.

　　Compensation

　　The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
