Here at Amazon we are currently seeking for an experienced an Area Manager for our Print on Demand (Books) site in Moorebank for Day Shift.

The Area Manager will support the Operations Manager by performing a variety of duties. In this fast-paced and continuously growing environment, you will be working in a warehouse environment fulfilling the customer promise whilst demonstrating the Amazon Leadership Principles.
Please note the shift pattern is based on 4 days on and 3 days off (Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday).
Working hours: 7:00am to 5:00pm
Key job responsibilities
Leading and developing a team of Amazon associates,
Supporting all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates,
Developing performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality,
Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives,
Analyse and implement changes to keep quality and productivity at a consistently high level,
Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility,
Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve our operational excellence,
Partnering with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.

Basic Qualifications
A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university,
Working experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field,
Experience as a manager, involving sizable teams; you’re a natural at motivating others around you and building strong relationships,
Demonstrate ability in problem-solving and analytical capabilities: conducting and driving Dive Deep analysis on complex processes,
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
Experience with performance metrics and process improvement,
Authorized to work in Australia without sponsorship.
