Position overview Oversees the Application Support team and providesadvanced technical support for the credit union's system applications.This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the ApplicationSupport team, ensuring that applications are maintained, and issues areresolved promptly. The Applications and Support Leader collaborates withother IT teams and business units to ensure that application systemsmeet the needs of the organization and support its strategic goals.Primary responsibilities: Provides leadership to create ahigh-performing, creative, and collaborative work environment. Developsa team of motivated, results-oriented individuals promoting cooperationamong employees and other departments. Oversees the support andmaintenance of the credit union's applications, ensuring theirstability, security, and optimal performance. Provides advanced (TierIII) technical support for complex application issues, ensuring timelyresolution and minimizing impact on business operations. Managesrelationships with application vendors, ensuring they provide thenecessary support and services to maintain and improve the applications.Collaborate with vendors to resolve critical issues, track vendorperformance against service level agreements (SLAs) and work withmanagement to negotiate contracts for optimal terms. Plan and executesystem upgrades and maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption tooperations and that applications remain up-to-date and secure.Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to understand theirneeds and ensure that application systems support business objectives.Continuously monitor application performance, identify areas forimprovement, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and userexperience. Qualifications Must-haves: Bachelor's degree. An equivalentcombination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of adegree. Minimum of three years' management/leadership experience.Minimum of five years of progressive experience in application supportroles. Extensive knowledge of application support and maintenance,including experience with troubleshooting, performance monitoring, andsystem upgrades. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with atrack record of resolving complex technical issues and optimizingapplication performance. Proficient in creating and maintaining detaileddocumentation for application configurations, processes, and procedures.Proven project management skills with the ability to lead and manageapplication-related projects effectively. Must be technologically savvy,with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software applications.This position is a hybrid work model (on-site and remote work).Nice-to-haves: Experience in financial services or a related industry ispreferred.
