Description:Job Summary
Develops plans and budgets for all resources within the Applications group(lawn, tree, weed), including procurement, labor, equipment andmaterials. Through team, ensures maximum use and completion of work withinbudget and safety guidelines, while maintaining quality standards. Promotesthe growth and development of field staff and assists them in carrying outtheir responsibilities as needed. Responsible for hiring and training team,ensuring appropriate staffing for projected work load. Plans, supervises andmonitors applications processes, and identifies required training throughfield audits. Ensures staff is always properly licensed. Works to maintain andimprove staff morale and addresses personnel issues promptly and fairly inaccordance with established policies. Works with other departments withinbranch and at Corporate office to achieve business goals.

Salary: $55,000 - $85,000 per year
Employment/Human Resources:
Responsible for all aspects of department staffing, including interviewingand selecting new employees, evaluations, recommending pay increases,and terminations.Ensure team is properly trained, certified, and licensed to perform theirassigned job functions.Conduct site inspections and provide ongoing training as needed.
Compliance:
Respond to customer complaintsOrder equipment and suppliesMeet contract specificationsMaintain Landscape Contractors LicenseMaintain a high level of good housekeeping and care of company assets in thefield, vehicles, shop field offices and customer work sites.Stay aware of Best Practices. Develop and recommend improved work methods andstandards.
Financial:
Develop a yearly department budget and work with branch manager to monitorwages, revenue %, capital budget, etc.Develop and implement strategy for growing business and developing departmentassetsEvaluate current contracts and oversee changes to scope and price to improveprofitability.
Technical:
Work in the field as needed including applications work.Provide technical assistance when needed.Manage snow removal and d cor functions when needed.Must be able to obtain Applicator's license within 30 days of hire andmaintain license
Administrative:
Oversee payrollEnsure all field reporting and records are completed accurately and in atimely matter.

Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, prefer 2- or 4-year degree inhorticulture, business or a related field. Experience may substitute foreducation.3 - 5 years of experience as a supervisor or manager in landscaping industry.Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able toprioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and effectively trai andensure direct reports are able to comply with above.Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors and employees at alllevels of the organization.Valid driver's license and safe driving record
