  Job Description Summary

  The Applications and Marketing Specialist provides technical expertise through in-service presentations, product demonstrations, training and maintenance of company products. He/she will also provide promotion, marketing and technical support for BD Diagnostics Systems (Microbiology, Molecular and WHC).

  Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support in meeting or exceeding the department's revenue by providing in-service presentations, product demonstrations, trade show activities and training.

  2. Provide support to customers on specific applications.

  3. Assist in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs.

  4. Develop and maintain all territory related promotion/marketing duties including but not limited to the following:

  • Market map

  • Action plan in the territory

  • Risks and opportunities for sales

  • Competitive activity and market/customer information

  • Current and future territory expenses

  5. Establish and maintain working relationships with each customer account in order to support sales and monitor customer service and support.

  6. Establish very good working relationships with the key opinion leaders/key organizations in the Infectious Disease sector, TB sector, Molecular sector, Women's Health sector.

  7. Responsible for providing technical direction and support to customers and distributors on the operation and maintenance of company products and serves as the customer contact on technical and service related problems. Monitor accounts to ensure that problems are being corrected and customer satisfaction levels are maintained at high levels. Research, troubleshoot, follow-up and resolve account inquiries and problems. Submit and monitor timely the product incident reports.

  8. Works closely with the corporate contacts related to technical support, marketing, QA/QC and R&D to address customer concerns, determine corrective action and customer follow-up; and the designated service engineers to ensure prompt resolution of customer issues.

  9. Support and create modules for scientific evaluation studies.

  10. Consistently update team on current competitive activities, market trends and development which may impact the business.

  11. Travel extensively to support accounts nationwide.

  12. Other duties as assigned.

  Requirements:

  1. Must be a graduate of Medical Technology with active PRC license.

  2. With at least two to three years experience in In Vitro Diagnostics industry, and/or three to five years experience in Clincal Laboratory/Microbiology Laboratory/Molecular Laboratory.

  3. With non-professional driver's license and actively driving

  4.Excellent communication and organization skills

  5. Results-oriented and highly motivated to succeed

  6. Customer-focused

  7. Product/Market knowledge - voice of customer

  8. Enthusiastic and independent

  9. Presentation skills

  10. Willingness to travel
