Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated person to join an award-winning Anaplan Center of Excellence to help shape the future of connected forecasting and planning in Finance. The Anaplan Model Builder is a key role in Autodesk's Business Insights and Automation team and is responsible for the successful design, build, implementation, and maintenance of Anaplan-based solutions. The ideal candidate is a team player that has experience building financial models and enjoys solving and streamlining complex business problems using Anaplan. A successful candidate enjoys detailed and challenging puzzles, thrives in an ever-changing environment, and innovates without boundaries. The ability to listen and ask inquisitive questions that improve financial business processes and solution those with business stakeholders is essential.
Responsibilities
Translate existing business processes and problems into sophisticated multi-dimensional Anaplan models starting by building the underlying architecture, data schema, calculation methodologies, process improvements, model building and reporting, to arrive at a great user experienceMaintain existing Anaplan modelsIncorporate new functionality in response to business-driven changes, develop new feature enhancements, and fix production issues to maintain accuracy and uptime, end user trust and satisfactionAuthor technical documentation that explains how the model was built and why, deployment procedures and instructions for run state/administratorsParticipate in the development of data integration pipelines between source systems and Anaplan by partnering with other internal organizations to design data models, APIs, or other architectural elementsIdentify and remedy technical debt to ensure high model healthMonitor and validate data processing workflows to and from AnaplanActive participant of a scrum team including user story definition and refinement, backlog prioritization, story estimation, sprint ceremonies (stand-up, demo, retro) and project statusBuild relationships and trust with business model owners, team members, end users, collaborating teams and stakeholdersParticipate in user acceptance testing, script writing, and deployment activitiesProvide hands-on training and office hours to end users to facilitate adoption of the Anaplan modelUse Anaplan model building best practices and standards established within Autodesk and the Anaplan Community
Minimum Qualifications
Smart model builder who can speak in the language of the business, influence and advise on process optimization opportunities, and develop those improvements in AnaplanReal life experience that turned you into a subject matter expert in planning and modeling for Finance and SalesExperience working in highly-iterative software-focused work practices - Lean, Agile, Anaplan WayYou have walked-the-walk and have a strong finance or sales planning and forecasting background with the technical chops building solutions with Excel, Anaplan, SAP BPC, Planful, TM1 or other cloud solutionsSolving interesting problems motivates you to get to work each dayYou have excellent quantitative and analytical skills, a high attention to detail and scrutiny of discrepancies that sparks conversations to develop better solutionsAdaptability to work in a large team, small team, independently, remote and in-personHungry to learn, adopt and contribute to the Anaplan communityUndergrad degree in finance, business, or engineering or have a combination of other education and equivalent workExcellent listening and communication skills with the ability to switch contexts between highly technical and business-focused topics quickly and easilySomeone that embraces diversity, and values people not just for what they do but who they areActively foster an environment where people can bring their authentic selves to workCourage to speak up with divergent views in productive ways, and inquisitively approach difficult conversations to drive solutionsYou take responsibility for both good and bad results and take initiative in leading remediation, informing others of decisions and plans that affect themAchieved Anaplan Certified Model Builder Level 2 or above

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $122,400 and $198,000. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
