Analytical Specialist
Responsibilities
Function as analytical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Marlborough Analytical Operations
facility
Utilize analytical skills to support E&I technology platforms by using data-driven problem-solving
Facilitate installation, qualification, training, troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical instruments
Expedite the validation, qualification and documentation of analytical methods
Investigate alternate instrumental and sample preparation techniques to further advance E&I materials detection capabilities and reduce variation, cost and cycle time of analytical activities
Independently seek out, identify and lead continuous improvement projects
Participate on multi-disciplinary project teams
Communicate results effectively to stakeholders and other interested parties
Fulfill all requirements of group, site, and company safety, ethics, and quality programs
Effectively balance workloads to meet business priorities while functioning in a manufacturing support environment
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry or Engineering with minimum 3 years' experience in analytical analysis and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in troubleshooting analytical instrumentation such as GC, GC-MS, titration, Karl-Fisher water analysis, UPLC, HPLC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GPC
• Familiarity with clean room and clean fume hood protocols
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot instrument problems
• Experience in statistical techniques: Gage R&R, SPC, and Design of Experiments
• LEAN or Six Sigma training/experience
• 5 years experience in analytical analysis and troubleshooting.
