Job Description
The Associate Director, Alliance & Royalty Accounting, will be responsible for the contract compliance and external accounting involving the Company's third-party alliance collaborations and licensing agreements. Tasks include working with other internal and external finance teams and alliance management leads to complete the necessary profit-sharing and royalty calculations, financial stewardship responsibilities, and accounting and reporting associated with some of these third-party relationships. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Calculation and review of royalty and alliance profit-sharing accruals, reconciliations, and true-upsPreparation of alliance milestones and paymentsFacilitation of routine internal and external finance working group meetingsAd-hoc business support helping address any partner issues, disputes, or negotiationsCompletion and oversight of monthly close-related accounting processesCompletion of quarter / year-end reporting and footnote disclosuresSupport of external, internal, and partner auditsStewardship of Sarbanes-Oxley compliancePeople management of one Senior Financial AnalystDotted line responsibilities to second Director in department
Education Minimum: BS/BA or higher in Accounting/Finance
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance, internal audit, and/or public accounting with at least 2 years of people management experienceAbility to work with limited supervisionAbility to interact and collaborate with key stakeholders and cross functional teamsStrong people management skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong facilitation and project-management skillsStrong time-management skills, and an ability to work under tight deadlinesStrong analytical skillsStrong attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred:
MBA and/or CPAFamiliarity with licensing / collaboration legal agreementsKnowledge of SAP, FSA & FCCS systems (Accounting Reporting Tool)

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Please note, this Hybrid work model guidance also does not apply to roles that have been designated as "remote".
Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$122,800.00 - $193,300.00
