Accounting Manager, Practice Admin – Remote RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our Practice Administration Accounting team. The candidate who fills this mission critical role will have opportunities to make positive changes with significant impacts on the business. This role may be performed remotely anywhere in the continental United States; ideally within the Minnesota Twin Cities metro area. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for financial reporting for several professional organizations that partner with RAYUS Radiology. Key responsibilities include leading revenue analysis initiatives and ensuring accurate reporting. Responsible for supervising and managing the practice administration accounting team to ensure work is completed in a timely manner. This is full-time, remote position working, Monday thru Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (40%) Accounting & Financial Analysis * Performs & reviews month end close duties: * Completes physician compensation model * Prepares accurate journal entries on a timely basis * Ensures timely closing of month-end * Reviews monthly compensation reports and professional payments * Reviews monthly financial statements for accuracy * Builds reporting solutions, develops and enhances existing reporting processes * Subject matter expert on all individual physician compensation plans based on employment agreements and shareholder status * Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to physician compensation and other critical processes * Performs physician reimbursement analysis and data mining on large data sets * Provides data analysis to support quality initiatives and measurement * Audits data integrity between RIS system, billing system and data warehouse to properly compensate the individual radiology groups * Provides feedback regarding inaccuracies, unfavorable trends and/or anomalies found during review to ensure proper communication both internally and externally * Reviews and prepares tax schedule reporting at year-end (40%) Team Management * Oversees and assists with hiring and training of new associates * Develops, supervisors and mentors practice administration team * Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations, compensation and development of associates; handles performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or terminations when necessary (15%) Subject Matter Expert of Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management * Researches and maintains in depth knowledge of healthcare revenue reimbursement and how it impacts business * Develops and maintains a collaborative working relationship with all revenue cycle departments * Collaborates with Revenue Cycle Management department (RCM) to resolve issues and correctly report revenue (5%) Performs other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) REQUIRED: * Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures of cash accounting * Knowledge of basic tax laws * Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy - * Ability to convey complex subject matter clearly and engagingly * Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically and identify trends * Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols * Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines * Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion * Skill in written and verbal communication * Ability to work independently and in a team environment * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines * Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change * Ability to maintain regular attendance and on-time arrival to work as scheduled * Ability to deliver high quality customer service to internal and customers by communicating with integrity and compassion * Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next level * Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision-making * Ability to influence across the organization and work effectively with all levels of management and staff * Ability to remain calm in difficult situations #LI-SO1 SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: Required: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field * Minimum 5-8 years of accounting experience * Advanced skills in Excel and Accounting Systems Preferred: * Physician compensation experience * 4+ years of RCM experience * CPA/MBA * Proficiency in SQL * Health Care industry experience * Knowledge of Great Plains software Along with pay, the company provides a benefit program with real financial value.
