This position will focus on ensuring Ford Pro customers have a positive experience with our charging solutions. Testing will be performed in Ford's state of the art vehicle electrification facilities. We'll focus on ensuring reliable operation of our EV's charger with multi-make EV's and our own cloud-based monitoring solution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include:
Define and align our EU AC & DC charging hardware roadmap(s).Conduct competitive market analysis to track industry trends and ensure product feature and cost competitiveness.Engage with sales and customers to understand customer needs and refine/develop product requirements for chargers and recommended accessories.Ensure development of key product functional specifications and statements of work to define internal and 3rd party product and project deliverables.Direct engagement with existing/target suppliers related to product development, continuous improvement, and product validation testing.Coordination of charging product system interoperability testing prioritization and product compatibility lists.Track new charging and accessory product launch readiness.Customer Satisfaction: Develop information sources and KPI's associated with charger customer satisfaction.Product / Customer Quality: Monitor customer experience and supplier quality activity related to charging hardware. Work cross functionally to ensure timely resolution of detected problems. Develop and evaluate product quality KPI's vs. industry benchmarks. Warranty: Monitor product warranty activity. Evaluate activity KPI's vs. internal and industry benchmarks.Leverage engineering change request processes to track product supplier and internal change requests.Work cross functionally to ensure that product technical publications are updated and align with internal/customer requirements.Work cross functionally with business and operations to cascade product new feature, continuous improvement changes and quality improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree.5+ years of electrical systems experience.Experience with product testing and validation.Experience defining product requirementsDemonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf motivated
Preferred Requirements
Technical Bachelor's degree.3+ years experience with EVSE's, power electronics and/or associated product development.Excellent experience with AC charging norms, standards and regulations.Previous automotive OEM experience.Masters Degree
