About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Science Associate.
Our Advanced Data and Analytics Program (ADAP) team is a group of highly motivated analytics professionals that develop and execute data driven solutions across modeling, marketing sciences, channel analytics and customer sciences areas of Wells Fargo Analytics community. To achieve ADAP broad objectives of developing data and analytics leaders and upscaling existing talent, we are seeking talented individuals aiming to develop their business analytics and data engineering skills through solving business problems using a range of analytical methods.
ADAP analysts will join Wells Fargo as part of a 2-year rotational program, partnering with various Wells Fargo Consumer Businesses to develop advanced analytics solutions to bank's top priorities. You will be gaining experience across line-of-businesses while managing long term (6-8 months) and short term (4-6 weeks) projects. ADAP analysts will receive robust on the job training and have access to mentoring and networking with senior leaders in the company.
Start date for the program will be August 12th, 2024.

In this role, you will:Formulate and answer strategic questions using rigorous analytics while developing a clear, simple, and compelling story to influence management and gain buy-in.Perform statistical and mathematical model development / validation / audit using Python, R, SAS, C++ and SQL or other programming languages and mathematical / statistical packagesUtilize knowledge of the business, customers, and products to synthesize results and form a story in a thoughtful and impactful presentations to business partners to drive future strategiesAct as a data strategist to identify and integrate datasets from multiple sources to develop insights and support strategic initiativesIdentify and develop the right set of metrics, analytics methodology, and reports / presentations to communicate actionable insightsRequired Qualifications, US:6+ months of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationMaster's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer scienceDesired Qualifications:Enrolled in a Master's degree program in: Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or related quantitative fieldMust be currently pursuing a Master's degreeWorking knowledge of Python, SQL, or RAwareness of Big Data technologies and their applicationsExceptional analytical thinking, quantitative, problem solving and communication skillsSelf-starter, demonstrated strong work ethic and an ability to work independently and collaborativelyStrong time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and keep numerous projects on trackProgram Location:Program Location: Wilmington, DE - Additional locations may be added based on business needs
