　　Job Summary:

　　Performs laboratory tests on soils & aggregate samples to ensure thatmaterials used on state construction projects are in compliance with thespecifications and/or provide preliminary engineering data to theGeotechnical section. Responsible for timely and accurate completion ofassigned projects and complete documentation of all phases ofassignment. Responsible for proper use, operation, maintenance,calibration, and repair of assigned equipment.

　　Job Duties:

　　Perform laboratory tests on soils and aggregates. Know and performvarious tests during the resource inspection every 18 months.\\Enter laboratory stat on test cards and into the computer database.Perform mathematical computations.\\Perform and assist with minor calibration on laboratory equipment.Perform, document, and record routine maintenance on equipment.\\Complete all required technical training.\\Clean laboratory work area and equipment daily.\\Assist other labs as necessary. May be required to drive a statevehicle.\\Other duties as assigned as related to the position.
