The Platform Security Team is the certifications, security architecture, and vulnerability management team for F5 Engineering. We are looking for a Senior Manager for PlatSec that can support the short-term tactical security needs of BIGIP while helping to build a strategic vision for enhancing security initiatives within F5.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the evaluation and execution of current and future security and certification projects within F5 PlatSec Hyderabad.
Primary Responsibilities
Serves as the tactical vision for the PlatSec team in Hyderabad.
Helps build the overall strategic vision working with the Global Leadership team within PlatSec
Is an active member of site leadership team, supporting the goals of creating a stronger more integrated India organization.
Leads tactical analysis of requirements and defines the design for new and modification of existing certifications and security initiatives.
Assists Teams with project scope and estimating.
Liaises with cross-functional teams to ensure that project is delivered in its entirety.
Grows the security skills of the team.
Engages with customers to address escalations and devise solutions.
Engages with Product Management to drive detailed product requirements.
Responsible for upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge and experience with Enterprise security initiatives - including federal certifications, security architectures, and vulnerability management.
Experience building and leading a team of Security Engineers
Exceptional problem solving.
Able to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced high-performance environment.
Regularly finds ways to communicate widely through discussions, white papers, publications and other.
Regularly demonstrates collaboration by promoting others' ideas, influencing others, and making teams successful.

Must be a Subject Matter Expert in an Enterprise Security area
Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
Duties may require being on call periodically or working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends). Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 5% of the time spent traveling.
Qualifications
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years managing a security focused team of engineers
