About The Team
The People Infrastructure Team is built to drive the development and integration of P&P products and services for a more seamless delivery to our employees and stakeholders, and ensuring the P&P org operates as a collective unit. The Infrastructure team manages the operating rhythm within P&P that mobilizes each team to most effectively to deliver tangible, valuable, outcomes for Uber.
About The Role
This role will establish and enable the operational strategy for the global People Infrastructure Team with VP, to act as creators and stewards of P&P priority direction each year. Focus areas include org development, performance optimization, mergers & acquisition, cultural and team integration, HR tech, diversity & inclusion, and people operations to enable People Infrastructure strategy.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the senior leaders of not only the People Infrastructure team, but also the PLT leaders and teams across P&P to unify under one collected direction as an organization
- Oversee the driving and accountability of business operations and progress by ensuring the team is cross-functionally aligned to deliver current P&P Priorities and has established project milestones
- Effectively partner with leaders to be able to anticipate future business needs
- Develop teams, when needed, to implement point-in-time programs and initiatives and act as a liaison between the multiple teams in our Global People function and PLT.
- Lead regular due diligence practices across the Priorities workstreams to ensure VP of Infrastructure has consistent visibility and the team has alignment to broader, and at times changing, business direction.
- Create the operational cadence for the leadership team (PLT) to have a more comprehensive and timely understanding of the direction and progress of strategic initiatives of P&P, as led by the People Infrastructure Team.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in HR Practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and implementing multi-year strategy. Proven ability to build where needed, key alignment across multiple partner groups including executives
- Understanding of HR processes at Uber and its strategy and philosophy. Use this deep understanding to change mindsets and behaviors within the business
- Recognition of what the Uber businesses need from their People team in the long and short term. Utilize this to inform the direction and deliverables of P&P Priorities
- Contribute to building a thriving culture by creatively working through various touch points - to engage and communicate with employees across all levels and teams
- Constantly think about how to improve the efficiency of the organization - looking at teams, governance, external factors - then structuring initiatives to address key opportunities
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $180,000 per year - $200,000 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $162,000 per year - $180,000 per year.
