Sr. Director, Head of Data Capital One Software (Remote)

Through this journey, we've developed a suite of internal solutions uniquely designed to meet the challenges of a digital-first, cloud-first business at scale. We also recognize that many other businesses are facing similar data management needs as they accelerate their cloud and data journeys, and are exploring how best to bring some of the tools to market as enterprise B2B software solutions.
Capital One Software is seeking a Sr Director - Head of Data to lead & shape the data strategy, architecture & governance for Capital One's B2B SaaS line of business. You will lead strategic decisions on how our B2B SaaS business uses data across our towers, as well as create & design a data management framework. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data practitioner to have an impact on an innovative business.
In this role you will:
Use your experience from fast-growing startups to inform Capital One Software's data strategy including data analysis, management & architectureCreate, define, and provide oversight of data governance policy creation and compliance.Defining, architecting, evangelizing, and governing enterprise data flows, data model, and data standards that are critical to understanding and measuring key Capital One Software business driversEstablish & lead the data analytics practice for Capital One Software across towersPartner with the Operations, Sales, Go-to Market, and Product departments to prioritize use cases, design data marts, and surface services that drive growth opportunitiesBuild and lead a cross functional team that supports our data mission to enhance business knowledge and opens opportunities for end user insights through business and data analyticsFuture-proof the data ecosystem to ensure it solves the needs of the present while scaling to enable additional value creation in the futureAnalyze and improve existing data infrastructure to ensure proper data handling.Define reference architectures and data flow for future infrastructure development.Lead development and maintenance of Data Dictionaries, Lineages, and Taxonomy including identification of business-critical metrics and data elements.Define and manage Data Quality, Privacy, and Protection policies and processes.Collaborate with other key stakeholders (e.g., legal, security, etc.) to ensure solution features meet all security and privacy requirements.Partner with the Engineering team to ensure proper controls have been implemented for proactive monitoring of critical product features, availability, and stability.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree plus at least 10 years of experience in data analytics, or Master's Degree plus at least 8 years of experience in data analytics, or PhD plus at least 5 years of experience in data analyticsAt least 5 years of Professional Data Analysis experienceAt least 5 years of People Management experienceAt least 2 years of Big Data technology experienceAt least 2 years of Data Visualization experience
Preferred Qualifications:

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Remote (Regardless of Location): $226,500 - $258,500 for Sr. Director, Data Analysis
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
