Leidos is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the Software Develop er / Agile Release Train Engineer position for the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems Contract. The ideal candidate will be a leader and problem solver. This position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide high level guidance and is overall responsible for technical aspects of the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure cross functional teams deliver value.
Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive improvement through coordination between the Contractor’s development team, the Government Product Owner and key technical stakeholders.
Monitor program performance; resolve impediments; develop and implement solutions for driving improvement.
Coordinate schedule execution and plan program-wide software/architecture releases.
Lead Program Increment (PI) Planning, including logistics and technical preparation.
Lead cross-team collaboration in support of development, testing, and deployment efforts.
Track the execution of features and capabilities through Metrics across program’s agile and DevOps teams.
Brief customers on the development progress throughout the PI cycle on program status, including the status of testing, deployment, and release readiness.
Assess skillset needs and collaborate with leadership to staff program openings.
Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
Promote teamwork to achieve PI goals.
Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices.
Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end.
Unit testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.
Write effective APIs.
Create Use cases and Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
Create security and data protection settings.
Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design.
Write technical documentation.
Ability to supervise up to 9 people.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience OR a Masters degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
Experience in the following applications frameworks (at least 2):React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML.
Familiarity & knowledge:Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & Nifi.
Must possess an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered.
IAT Level II or higher.
Direct experience with large-scale agile (e.g., Disciplined Agile Delivery, Large-scale Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework or Spotify model).
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience
Active TS/SCI preferred.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe RTE or similar agile project management certification (PMI-ACP).
Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
