NVIDIA Networking Business Unit is looking for a Reliability Engineer for the qualification team. NVIDIA Networking division is a leading supplier of innovative end-to-end InfiniBand and Ethernet connectivity solutions and services for servers and storage. We offer market-leading solutions that include adapter cards, switches, cables and software to support networking technologies. Our products optimize data center performance and deliver industry-leading bandwidth and scalability. In addition, we serve a wide range of markets including high performance computing, enterprise, data centers, cloud computing, big data and Web 2.0. What you will be doing:
Participate in component-level reliability test definition using the NUDD (New, Unique, Different, and Difficult) process
Conduct analysis of test/field data to identify potential failure modes and reliability risks
Collaborate with design teams to ensure reliability considerations are incorporated into component design
Participate in product and engineering design reviews, assessing the reliability budget of products/designs and inspire changes that improve product reliability
Identifying reliability threats and assessing risks
Improving procedures and methodologies
Develop present methods of correlating reliability test results with actual field performance
Perform statistical data analysis, modeling, acceleration factors calculations and MTBF predictions
What we need to see:
B.Sc. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of related work experience preferred qualifications
Familiarity with industry standards related to component reliability
Strong understanding of statistical analysis and reliability prediction techniques
Sharp thinking and good decision-making skills
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with personnel from all levels of the organization
Advanced data analysis skills: Emphasize proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software like Minitab, JMP
Cross-functional leadership: Emphasize experience in leading cross-functional teams to drive reliability initiatives across an organization.
