The Production Planning and Logistics, Sr. Manager leads all Production Planning (Master Planning, Scheduling, Inventory management) and Logistics (Warehousing, Customs compliance & Internal Logistics) processes in the Ethicon GA Campus manufacturing sites (Cornelia and Athens) in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements to ensure satisfactory customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for campus Master Production Scheduling (MPS) processes, including cMPS for monthly production output commitments and communication to site and broader Planning /S&OP leadership teams.
Leads Site’s Supply Review, developing scenarios and proposing resolutions in response to early warnings and challenges, balancing Inventory, plant capacities and customer service needs
Ensure adequate Raw Material inventory to support the capacity plan.
Supervises production scheduling processes in alignment with MPS & GOALS agreement.
Resolves STEM and End-to-End issues across the different value streams where the site is involved.
Active involvement is the development or implementation of Network and new product introduction projects.
Responsible for efficient logistics and warehouse operations.
Assures compliance with Quality System policies, GMP, Safety/EHS and Environment regulations, also good housekeeping and ergonomics company policies
Accurate and compliant Duty declarations for both Import & Export of RM & FG
Coordinate & approve material control policies to ensure compliance to SOX requirements - ensure accurate inventory levels in ERP.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
Establish annual department goals and objectives including department budget.
Establish individual Goals & Objectives and performance review for the all staff members.
Ensure active development planning and constructive conversations for all staff members.
Ensure qualified and well-trained staff:
Secure succession pipeline for all critical positions through talent acquisition and rotations
Enhances the power of diversity and inclusion.
Endorses all appropriate personnel actions.
Responsible for ensuring that team follows all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
Education:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. A Masters Degree or advanced degree is preferred.
A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Confirmed experience with several of the following processes: inventory management, supply chain management, supply planning/master production scheduling, scenario analysis, S&OP/IBP, process excellence (Lean, 6sigma), and systems (ERP's JDE-SAP, APO, OMP)Preferred:
Supply Chain certification is preferred e.g. APICS
Process Excellence experience/training or certification (Lean, Six Sigma, FPX, Agile, etc) preferred
