As a Sr Mgr, Commercial Learning & Development you will join our Commercial and Operational Excellence team and support EU Field commercial teams by building, developing, maintaining, tracking and leading the execution of a new Sales Competencies Framework recently designed for EU Surgical.
This program aims to bring more clarity around the competencies & skills required to grow and develop capabilities at each role and level within our sales organization. It offers a clear set of skills definition, and targeted proficiency levels against which, Field employees can evaluate themselves and from which, they can build their individualized development plan. Those competencies will become the backbone of our field development program from hiring to next step.
Role Purpose
Implement and coordinate this newly created Sales competencies framework for the regional BU.Develop, enhance, and lead the execution of BU related Commercial training programs including all aspects of sales and delivery mechanisms resulting in an effective and engaging programCoordinate a newly created network of EU field Ambassadors to support the alignment of the program with the field reality, needs & requirements.Partner with leaders to ensure full engagement from Leadership to Field team and create a learning environment for the region.Partner with Business Operations on the digitalization of the program towards Commercial Training excellence, integrating cutting-edge AI tools.
Job Responsibilities includes:
Lead the design of content for all sales training curriculum for field based sales employees in collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Medical Affairs, GHER, Operations) to meet the changing needs and priorities of the EU Surgical Sales organizationAssess field sales team for knowledge, capabilities and skills and interpret sales operations analytics. Partner with SMEs and cross-functional teams to effectively develop training programs for employees to improve their skills, enabling greater achievement of business objectives.Create and provide on-going direction on training efforts for development programs (e.g., Field Training Team, Leadership Development Program)Partner with Sales Leadership to ensure training objectives are met with consistency and in compliance with the sales training strategy.Scan Market for best-in-class learning content & digital learning tools for commercial teamsMeasure effectiveness of programs through post-meeting survey instruments, field feedback and KOL review, develop plan to address concerns, and lead the implementation of solutionsEvaluate and lead the development of this new training platforms and collaborate on a new X-BU customer engagement program for the region.Articulate EU surgical training program around 3 E Framework (70 Experience, 20% Exposure, 10% Education) and coordinate omnichannel training program, including digital leaning tools.
Education and Experience
Bachelor or Master's Degree in economics, business administration, engineering, or business-related area.+10 years' experience working in Sales & Marketing or Commercial management, Sales force excellence and Commercial operationsRelevant experience in the Medical Device industry, in Pharma sector within a clinical, marketing or sales positionPrior successful experience as a trainer in clinical and/or sales role, strongly preferred. Solid sales background, instructional design expertise and a proven ability to leverage digital learning by developing digital content, leveraging analytics to monitor digital learning content usageKnowledge of use of AI in Learning, a strong plusExperience in Sales consulting, a plus
