job summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Senior Estimator to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial roofing estimation, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for large-scale roofing projects. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates. The Commercial Senior Estimator will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the bid process are handled efficiently and effectively.

responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to identify the scope of work and project deliverables.
Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure all project requirements are understood and met.
Participate in bid meetings, site visits, and pre-bid conferences to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and industry standards to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Prepared and presented bid proposals to clients, highlighting key aspects of the estimate and project plan.
Assist in negotiating contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors as required.
Track and analyze the success rate of bids, adjusting strategies to improve win rates.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as an estimator in the commercial roofing industry.
solid knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
solid communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
