Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal sales and use tax regulations.

Tax Filings:
Prepare and file accurate and timely sales and use tax returns.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data for tax filings.
Respond to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities.
Process Improvement:
Evaluate and enhance existing sales and use tax processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Implement automation solutions where possible to streamline tax-related tasks.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and legal, to ensure alignment on tax matters.
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on sales and use tax issues.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations for compliance.
Analyze transactions to determine the appropriate tax treatment.
Training and Education:
Conduct training sessions for internal teams to increase awareness and understanding of sales and use tax requirements.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
Several years of experience in sales and use tax compliance and management.
Strong knowledge of state, local, and federal tax regulations.
Analytical skills to interpret complex tax laws and assess their impact on the organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in tax filings and compliance.
Experience with tax software and ERP systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
