JOB REQUIREMENTS: Maintain procedures that assure product and customerservice quality, product disposition from Hold orders internally andexternally, aged inventory policy. May perform quality systems audits inconjunction with PCQI. Communicate and enforce standards in the areas ofregulatory compliance under guidance of the Quality Manager. Act as thetechnical liaison for QC department in the absence of the QualityManager: In conjunction with the Quality Manager, update and supportfood safety programs and food safety systems: HACCP, sanitation, andenvironmental monitoring program. Maintain the quality systems for theplant. Ensure work instructions, SSOPs, procedures and other pertinentdocumentation is up to date working with the Document ControlCoordinator. Recommend revisions to production work instructions asneeded. Support the plant Food Safety & Quality System to produce safequality food, acting as SQF Practitioner or equivalent until certified.Initiate quality complaint investigations. Verify corrective actioncompletion and continued conformance. Lead/train and/or participate ininternal audits and mock recalls while ensuring compliance to internalquality policies and applicable local regulations through the audits,observations, process reviews, and development of corrective actionswith management. Support facility during inspections, customer audits,communications, commercialization, and other interactions withregulatory agencies or customers. Lead the plant Quality ImprovementProgram in the areas of specifications and trends review, complaintinvestigation and corrective action, and capability of the Quality team.Responsible for the daily supervision of the Quality Control techniciansin regards to training and development, assessment and motivation oftechnicians. Maintains and communicates information of Quality staffissues to Quality Manager. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and experience with quality managementsystems, SSOPs, Environmental hygiene programs, prerequisite programsand HACCP. Knowledge of relevant GFSI standards such as FDA, SQF, MOSA,RSPO, USDA. Knowledge and understanding of Food Safety regulations, FSMAand industry and market trends is desired. Strong written and verbalcommunication skills. Proficient computer skills. Effective atorganizing and managing multiple work tasks of a diverse nature.
