What do you contribute?
You work in the growing market of digitalization. You will be part of the software engineering team for our locomotive projects, which are in use worldwide. In this interesting environment, you will make our locomotives fit for use all over the world with your software solutions and play a key role in shaping the future.
To do this, you will collect software requirements, structure them and create solution concepts. As a result of your work, you will work with the team and project management to create finished software architectures that integrate rail vehicles into cloud solutions in order to make the data available to internal and external users.
Interface with internal and external stakeholders such as internal and external customers, project managers, etc.
You work on cost calculations and cost estimates for offers and are responsible for meeting the costs and agreed deadlines for your work packages.
You will support other development engineers in an advisory capacity.
You will carry out software integration and testing to ensure functionality on the vehicle.
What do you bring along?
You have successfully completed your Master's degree in software engineering.
You have first practical experience in technical development projects (e.g. as a working student (f/m/d) or intern (f/m/d)), which you have gained e.g. through a working student activity.
You have knowledge of structured and object-oriented software development for embedded systems in the IoT environment with the Linux operating system.
You have basic knowledge of the programming languages Python or C++.
You have a good command of English.
You enjoy dealing with complex problems, are communicative and convince us with your systematic and independent way of working.
