Job Summary:
The Field Program Manager will collaborate with the field organization to execute, expand, and continuously improve business continuity and resilience strategies and solutions to proactively mitigate various business interruptions in three focus areas: people, premises, and operations.
The Field Program Manager possesses a high degree of knowledge and experience in Business Continuity and Resilience techniques and will be responsible for executing, managing, testing, and continuously improving multiple contingency strategies. The Program Director will support all current and future BCP activities necessary to enable the Company to effectively respond and recover from business interruption events as well as meet policy and compliance requirements for BCM planning. The position's primary goals will be to manage and facilitate readiness, response, and recovery activities for our USFS business and will specifically support our North Market. Description:
The Field Program Manager serves as project owner for highly complex, cross-functional, geographically dispersed locations and continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Conduct business impact analyses and continuity risk assessments, establishes expectations, and facilitates execution of contingency activities.
The Field Program Manager will set standard operating procedures with solid robust, well-structured, documented capabilities and will collaborate cross-functionally to evolve and mature the BCM Program.
Primary Duties:
Lead, facilitate, and enhance union labor work stoppage contingency program.
Manage, educate, and facilitate readiness, response, and recovery procedures in collaboration with field leaders and partners.
Utilize a project management approach to develop mechanisms for facilitating on time and on budget execution of continuity and resilience activities within the field.
Conduct business impact analyses (BIA), outlining critical business processes, assets, data flows, notifications, and escalations.
Cross-functionally collaborate with business partners to implement and embed business continuity standard operating procedures and/or policies.
Facilitate stress tests and scenario-based exercises and tests with business partners and use the outcomes and lessons learned to continually improve readiness, response, and recovery.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or related field and BCI, DRII, and PMP certifications are preferred.
Minimum 7 years of relevant field or industry experience leading a Business Continuity Program for a similar size company with 2 years in a risk management position strongly preferred.
Thought leader with 5 years of people management experience preferred and solid business acumen.
Seasoned experience with unions and work stoppage contingencies.
Experience managing dynamic projects, programs, and facilitating process improvements.
Acquainted with established business continuity, project management standards (ISO, PDCA) and/or applicable frameworks in support of execution.
Knowledge about the convergence of supply chain, operations, and technology and the ways to address them with the ability to distill complex concepts into concise terms.
Skilled conducting continuity risk assessments, Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and adept at analyzing and synthesizing data gathered.
Excellent planning and organization with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage and delegate multiple detail-oriented tasks.
Ability to work in a complex, highly matrixed, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with strong project management skills which include prioritizing and balancing workload, anticipating next steps, and adapting to change.
Ability to build strong working relationships, influence people and change at various levels, and establish credibility with leaders and stakeholders.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; articulate and persuasive communicator (large audiences and 1:1 engagement) with the ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and nuanced understanding of the communication needs of different audiences.
A knack for working with ambiguity and effectively navigating different challenges to identify and leverage opportunities.
Ability to analyze complex problems and come to direct solutions independently and collaboratively.
High level of energy, creativity, curiosity, and flexibility.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and Everbridge.
The successful candidate must be capable of domestic travel, sometimes with short notice, up to 40%.
