Job Description:
We are seeking a Process Engineer with a focus in Welding to join our Manufacturing team in Canoga Park, CA.

At this facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation such as NASA’s SLS, Lockheed Martin’s THAAD, Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser, and the Mars Perseverance Rover.
Essential Functions:
Oversee and troubleshoot critical weld fit-ups ensuring cleanliness requirements and best practices are followed.
Develop and document best practices to support production.
Perform statistical process analysis of fitting processes.
Define Blue Print/Specification requirements.
Perform root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware.
Accurately report problems, solutions, and results, in concise written and oral communications. Communicate effectively between team members and customer counterparts.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Technology, or other related discipline and two (2) years of experience in aerospace fabricating working with nickel, stainless, ferrous and aluminum alloys, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with Tube Bending
Experience with surface finish & lapping application.
Experience with metal working best practices.
Experience with blending / polishing of welded surfaces
Experience working with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ) , setting weldments up for exact shrinkages to fit TWJ post weld.
Familiarity working with electronic planning, drawings, and pertinent documents such as weld parameters.
Experience using appropriate PPE.
Using electronic planning and drawings.
Moving large structures or hardware.
Demonstrated teaming skills.
Strong analytical and communication skills (written and oral) are required, along with the ability to lead teams and work in a collaborative team environment.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $70,500 - $130,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
