The Financial Analyst Principal is responsible for financial support of functional cost and expense budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, and analysis of assigned disciplines and business areas within the BAE Systems Engineering function. The position reports to the Manager of ES Engineering Finance.
This role is able to be performed in a full-remote capacity , however, the selected candidate should be within a relatively short driving distance of a BAE Systems site (Our prominent locations include Nashua, NH, Endicott, NY, Greenlawn, NY, Austin, TX, Huntsville, AL, York, PA, Wayne, NJ, Cedar Rapids, IA, Fort Wayne, IN)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Act as Full Business Partner to the Engineering function, demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills with the ability to work across functional groups.
Prepare long and short-range forecasts of expense, base, staffing, overhead rates, and capital
Interpret monthly performance and make specific recommendations
Maintain a strong, compliant financial control environment through process review and data analysis
Collaborate with Functional Cost Management, Accounting and Government Compliance
Provide analytical data and recommendations for continuous process improvement
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related business degree with equivalent experience
4-6 years of professional experience in Financial Analysis in a corporate setting, with a strong preference in Defense industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Strong Interpersonal, Communication and Presentation Skills
Experience in Oracle, Hyperion, SmartView and MIDAS
Experience with forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense environment
General Ledger Accounting Experience
Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Understanding of Expenses and Overhead Rates
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $96470 - $164010
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
