Oversee Day / Night Warehouse operations and personnel. Monitor inbound / selection volume and direct the workforce in the efficient and timely unloading, receiving and replenishment, selection to ensure the warehouse is ready for the shipping. Perform all duties assigned by manager and assume his role when he/she is not available. Schedule flexibility for training on nights, assisting mgmt on days.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Responsible for associate development through training on policy & procedures. Creates a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open and directs workforce to insure efficient workflow.
Training process for selectors, loaders, lift operators.
Train new hires from orientation through position training.
Utilize company process & systems to maximize training quality.
Coach, teach, train, new associates on company culture and processes.
Perform all positions when required to keep production flowing: Receiver, Forklift Operator, Scheduler, Inbound Driver Check in Clerk, Slot Optimizer,
Communicates with buyers on Purchase Order shorts, overages, damages, and samples.
Works with the Claims Clerk to help ensure all claim product is processed properly through the different stages.
Assists Will Call operations when additional man power is needed in business spikes.
Works with Sanitation team as needed to ensure facility is properly maintained.
Prepare and monitor various reporting systems to monitor production direct and indirect hours for maximum efficiency.
Monitor dock locations for inbound carriers based on dock availability, type of freight and time constraints to ensure the timely receipt of freight to meet managed load 2-hour window.
Ensure product is stocked in appropriate location, in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with food safety and FIFO processes & procedures to create space on the dock and ensure a smooth flow of work.
Monitor a variety of operational information on replenishment activity to ensure stock is available for the shipping shift to minimize/eliminate the potential for “shorts”.
Maintain physical condition and safety of warehouse and equipment, including preparing work orders for repairs and requisitions for equipment.
Champion safety procedures, processes and training to create and maintain a safety-first culture in the warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training : High school diploma or GED preferred.
Related Experience:
Must possess a minimum of 3 years warehouse distribution
1 year of experience leading or guiding an hourly workforce preferred.
Prior lead/trainer experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Able to interpret operational data
Basic computer skills; Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HAACP and other regulatory requirements
Strong leadership, communication and people development skills
Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures
