Description
REMPREX is seeking an innovative, motivated, and highly technical individual to design, configure, maintain, and support our network infrastructure. As a network engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal personnel to create and track project activity and assist with the establishment of configuration and security standards/guidelines. The Network Engineer will be knowledgeable in several aspects of network configuration with focused attention on being able to maintain and troubleshoot LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with the IT engineering team to develop and maintain systems, applications, security, and network configurations based on company requirements.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for design, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure.
You will:
Design, configure, maintain, and support internal and external networks
Maintain network hardware including, but not limited to, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, SD-WAN and wireless access points.
Develop and maintain systems, applications, security, and network configurations based on company requirements.
Ensure the integrity and security of the organization utilizing best practices
Develop disaster recovery guidelines and procedures.
Maintain and support additions and relocations of PBX phones and devices
Monitor health of network hardware using common network monitoring tools
Maintain network and system documentation
Enforce network security policies
Manage private and public cloud networks
What You’ll Need
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in a related role
Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate certification (CCNA)
Previous Cisco® and Palo Alto experience
Prior experience with Azure and/or AWS.
Cisco® and Juniper switch and router experience
Proven expertise in Firewall engineering and operations with primary experience in Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls
Experience with routing across LAN and WAN (including MPLS, AVPN, and VPN) using static and dynamic routing protocols
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to communicate complex technological concepts to clients and team members
Collaborative spirt and strong work ethic; desire to contribute to a team-oriented environment
Proven ability to integrate remote locations and users with existing networks.
Proficient in Microsoft office suite, Windows desktop, and server operating systems
Strong documentation skills and ability to work independently to problem solve and troubleshoot
Driver’s License with clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and valid US passport
Proven technical understanding of several network technologies including:
TCP/IP
Switching and VLAN
IP addressing and subnetting
DHCP, DNS, FTP, HTTP/S, NTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, Syslog, TACACS, Telnet, TFTP
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, information systems, IT, computer engineering or related field
CCNP Cisco certification
Infoblox, ScienceLogic, and SolarWinds experience
Cisco ASA and ISE experience
Experience with Microsoft Visio
Familiarity and technical understanding of
SD-WAN
Quality of Service (QoS)
Wireless controllers and access points

Location
This role is based out of our corporate headquarters in Lisle, Illinois and offers a hybrid work schedule of two in-office days and three remotely.
