WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
As R&D leader, you partner with Supply Chain, Quality and Procurement teams across the region to create a flawless implementation of innovations into our own as well as collaborative manufacturing partners factories, with particular attention to processing, E2E cost, material specifications and complexity. You will also be the key R&D interface for managing internal and external factors affecting the already existing manufacturing and sourcing programs, including E2E optimisation projects. You will closely work with the format innovation teams. This role will involve:Innovation support related to manufacturing of products, including processing and material supply.Responsibility for providing product solutions to optimise the E2E costs in our total Supply chain, encompassing choice of raw materials, formula, make and deliver.Responses to regulatory changes, supply issues or quality and production issues.Representing the BU in Global E2E programs and leadership teams.Working closely with the BU Supply Chain Innovation and Collaborative Manufacturing and Procurement leaders.As processing manager you are responsible for:Cross functional collaboration with procurement, supply chain, quality and global R&D as well as with the innovation platform leaders.Providing R&D leadership to create and realize our E2E savings program.Working closely with Senior leaders in the BU and interface with the BU procurement and supply chain leads, collaborative manufacturing partners as well as factory teams.Leading the lab and pilot plan capability in the regionLeading R&D capex and safety in the regionLeading and/or contributing to projects and programs related to material or product supply issues.As Innovation LeaderYou are responsible for driving innovation best practice in the regionPartnering with cross functional teams to embed a robust innovation process and maintain discipline Experiences & Qualifications Preferably a significant number of years of work experience in R&D and/or Supply chain.Project management experience.Product development and processing experience.Affinity and experience with digital tools and applications.Degree in technical, natural science, or related fields with good knowledge in chemistry and engineering.Arabic is a plus Skills Understanding of, and expertise in, product design, processing/manufacturing and materials used in the Personal Care Category.Engineering background or experience at the innovation, supply chain and procurement interface.Business understanding, organisational awareness and networking skills.Team leadership competencies, with track record of project management in complex environments.Structured, systematic, and logical in thinking and in doing.Strong written and spoken communication skills (English).Ability to gather information from different sources and translating those into manufacturing relevant language.Ability to interact with teams on different levels, and strategic influencing.
