Our client is a thriving medical practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations and ensuring accurate billing processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of medical billing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies
Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
Review and process patient bills and invoices
Resolve billing discrepancies and issues with insurance companies
Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary
Maintain patient billing records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Assist patients with billing inquiries and provide detailed explanations of charges
Coordinate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding
Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance policies, billing regulations, and coding standards
Requirements
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing or coding is a plus
Previous experience as a medical biller or in a similar role is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with billing software and familiarity with medical coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with professionalism and calm
Friendly and compassionate demeanor, with a patient-centric approach
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
