The Maintenance Worker, Electronic Technician, Scheduling Agent and Material Procurement has a responsibility to develop and implement purchasing and inventory control procedures to optimize departmental operations and workflow. It is the responsibility of the employee to procure all maintenance supplies and provide maintenance and control of all supplies in order to insure inventories for department efficient and economical hospital operations. Understands and analyzes circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service, or replace electronic devices and systems. Will be responsible to determine equipment and material required for job. Has an understanding of OHM'S Law. Requires knowledge of purchasing techniques, inventory management, supply management, shipping and receiving procedures and basic ethics. Will be responsible to implement electronic technician job duties, including but not limited to Thermometer calibration T.V. System, Surveillance camera, Door Access system equipment and repairs. As needed will perform the duties of maintenance dispatcher. Receives and relays incoming calls and requests for assistance. Initiates work orders and will contact Director or Supervisor for emergency work orders, Performs various clerical duties. Generates various reports and maintains accurate records. Able to communicate in a courteous and respectful manner. Work assignments will be determined by adjustment of workload and priority projects such as inventory. Will work a 40-hr. week and occasional weekend if needed. The electronic technician is expected to function withing the scope of policies, procedures, and regulations. Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors. Will be responsible to document purchases, purchase orders and reports. Generate maintenance productivity and cost reports. Attendance to yearly mandatory education requirements is non-negotiable and will be the responsibility of the employee to arrange and attend sessions.
