Overview
The Fraud Data & Reporting (FDR) team provides actionable intelligence that guides Navy Federal's fraud mitigation efforts, accomplished through dashboards, reporting and analysis. Our intelligence supports data driven decision-making for Security Division leadership and an efficient Fraud Operations workforce. FDR collaborates with partners within Security and throughout the enterprise, such as membership and contact center, in our efforts to fight fraud and protect our members.
The Year Round Intern will gain valuable insight into Navy Federal's business, technology, resources and procedures by providing support in focused areas, applying knowledge and education. Participate in a collaborative, team driven network and interact with multiple departments. Receive guidance and direction from team and management. Utilize and further develop technical and soft skills, business knowledge, analytical techniques and creative problem solving abilities. Provide professional execution of day to day tasks and special projects while working within established standards, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projectsSupport business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organizationAssist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignmentsPerform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysisMaintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priorityProvide comprehensive day-to-day operational supportProvide support in functional areas of the credit unionProcess and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reportsPerform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Analytics, or other related degreeExposure to scripting languages (Python, R, etc.)Experience with SQLExperience with data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau)Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisionsAbility to adapt to new technologiesAbility to provide exceptional customer serviceAbility to work independently and in a team environmentDesired - Strong academic record as evidenced by a 3.0 or higher GPADesired - Communication with impact and be committed to self-developmentEffective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsEffective research, analytical, and problem solving skillsEffective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlinesEffective word processing and spreadsheet software skillsEffective organizational, planning and time management skillsMust be pursing degree from an accredited college/university
