Plans, implements, and evaluates activities associated with the prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury [TBI]identified in the ODH Child Injury grant in the counties that Akron Children's serves as identified by the grant or approved by ODH.Develops and implements strategies that will lead to long-term involvement of community institutions, organizations and individuals in childhood injury prevention promotion, assessment, and evaluation activities.Develops, implements, and analyzes community needs assessment to identify community readiness/gaps in service for injury prevention.Provides oversight for program administration, leadership, financial management, and reporting.Work with PR and Marketing to oversee marketing and social media campaigns designed to increase the awareness of TBI's and youth suicide prevention.Oversees implementation and compliance of Ohio Department of Health [ODH] TBI prevention and youth suicide prevention grant activities including active participation in the Ohio Injury Prevention Partnership [OIPP] and Childhood Injury Action Group [CIAG].Ensures compliance with federal and state rules, regulations, and mandates and submits required reporting for ODH, and Akron Children's.Works closely with the Injury Prevention Coalition Supervisor, Safe Kids Summit County, interns, and volunteers and external agencies such as, schools, Summit County Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board and others .Collaborates with the School Health Services, Division of Psychology and Psychiatry, Trauma Services and other internal departments to identify and address identified injury and risk areasOther information:Technical Expertise1. Experience managing or coordinating a community-based public health or voluntary health-related agency is required.2. Travel and valid Ohio driver's license is required.3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.4. Experience in healthcare is preferred.5. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.] or similar software is required.Education and Experience1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Health
