Job DetailsDescriptionDuties and Responsibilities:
Review, modify, discuss, negotiate, and close contracts (including but not limited to subcontracts/purchase orders, prime contract, certain leases and property agreements, and other transactional agreements and settlement agreements);Advise internal clients on broad range of matters, including but not limited to legal business strategy; legal operational strategy; human resource and safety issues; procurement activities; risk management; and claims/dispute resolution;Periodically conduct training for employees;Periodically travel to project sites or BLHI clients location for negotiations or meetings;Manage or assist in managing outside counsel and other third-party resources for transactional, corporate, operational, or dispute-related activities;Assist estimating and operations teams with procurement activities throughout project lifecycle;Assist with performance of risk assessments of new projects and operations;Research federal, state, municipal, and quasi-governmental law, regulation, policy, etc.Work in conjunction with Compliance and Risk Management personnel.Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and Juris Doctorate required.Minimum 3 years legal experience with at least some experience in the areas of practice mentioned above;Solid research and legal interpretation skills, with government contracts experience a plus;Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with co-workers of different levels;High level of integrity and capable of collaborating with groups;Capable and competent writing skills and proficient with normal technologies for this type of work;Demonstrated leadership skills and effectiveness;Team builder, able to work well within dynamic, fast paced multi-cultural environment.QualificationsBehaviorsPreferredThought Provoking:Capable of making others think deeply on a subject
