Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will work closely with management and recruiting to ensure all facets of our HR strategy are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. The HR Generalist will also provide a variety of complex, routine, and administrative services in support of departmental and operational goals. This role will not only collaborate with the department in various projects and data maintenance, but also support employees of the company through various Employee Engagement, Employee Well Being, and Employee Relations initiative. This person will be responsible for coaching/mentoring employees, as well as serving as a liaison between the company and employee. Other duties will include the following:
Essential Job Functions:
Create, plan and oversee Employee Appreciation programs and activities
Conduct exit interviews or conduct post-employment survey to separated employees; analyzes the data and presents summaries to HR staff
Identify and implement recruiting strategies, including: direct advertising, job boards, job fairs, unemployment offices, web site career page, social media
Manage new hire data entry into HRIS System and complete onboarding actions
Ensure accuracy of data change requests through HRIS system and process data changes
Assist in creating, reviewing and maintaining job descriptions for all non-exempt positions within our company
Assist in recordkeeping to manage employee status.
Assist in identifying process improvements.
Serve as a point of contact for employees’ HR requests and information.
Coach managers to engage workforce and support continuous improvement methods.
Ensure new hires are onboarded, monitor one on one meetings with employees to ensure coaching, investigations, and communications, performance meetings are conducted and supported by site management.
Perform other duties to support HR needs as assigned.
Report all HR issues of non-compliance to the HR Manager and team.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or related experience in lieu of a degree is preferred.
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish (Spanish preferred but not required)
2 years minimum HR experience preferred in a similar role.
Active PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems- ADP preferred.
Proficient communication skills both verbally and written are required.
Attention to detail is required.
Ability to conduct self in a professional manner aligned with company values and principles.
