Job Summary
The Financial Controller will be responsible for all accounting and controlling matters in Thailand. He/she will work with various regional and global functional teams to support period end close, coordinate controllership areas, and ensure compliant and accurate financials. The role will ensure compliance with all external and internal policies and procedures, executing cost optimization initiatives and drive continuous improvements.
The Financial Controller will be a key business partner to the management and a member of the leadership team supporting the growth plans and be accountable for the business performance for Thailand and deliver the financial commitments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee local statutory and regulatory compliance eg. Statutory & internal audits, tax filing, regulatory compliance, filing of local statutory reports.
Maintain local accounting records (if required by law)
Period end close process, working with GBS & BPO/SSC
Coordinate Vendor, Customer and collection information
Coordinate with Treasury and Tax for local treasury/banking requirements, tax reporting, TP, custom audits etc.
Ensure local processes, SOPs & systems are aligned to Global Policies and Internal Controls are working or implemented.
Ensure efficient, effective and Compliant delivery to local stakeholders.
Point of contact for country business finance & other functional teams, eg. Tax, Treasury, Marketing, Med Ed etc

Education / Experience requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent.
Minimum 10- 12 years of finance and accounting experience with progressive responsibility and exposure in an international operating environment.
With at least 3-5 years of experience leading and managing Finance team.
Commercial Finance experience and evidence of relationship building and business partnering skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Hyperion reporting and planning tool and SAP highly preferred.
Fluent in English and Thai (both spoken and written)
Healthcare experience and knowledge is an advantage.
