The Data Scientist role will support the development of strategic analyticsolutions focusing primarily on the US Pharma business unit. Our team appliesdecision science methodologies to interdisciplinary business problems acrossFinance, Operations, Accounting, & Supply Chain. This position willwork closely with data scientists on strategic in-flight use cases aroundinventory and working capital management. The position's objectives are:
Perform complex financial analysis to address targeted questions regardingworking capital
Develop machine learning solutions to support new business initiatives /facilitate next best actions
Develop data processing applications, leveraging cloud / open-sourcetechnologies
Develop front-end statistical finance applications in RShiny
The candidate should possess the ability to perform statistical modellingtechniques and derive business insights that are required to drive analyticinnovation at McKesson. The candidate should also be an active learner able tograsp and apply new analytic approaches, as well as mentor junior /developing resources.

Analytic Responsibilities:
Support FP&A's need for statistical modeling and forecasting
Support as needed improvements to the AP & AR Cash Forecasting models
Fully automate existing forecasting solutions
Design and guide implementation of model variance analysis and impact trackingframework
Develop statistical models in production
Develop statistical simulation decision frameworks

Support stakeholders' analytic needs, gather user requirements, helpdrive adoption
Cultivate business development opportunities
Assist in developing and maintaining long-term stakeholder relationships andnetworks
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: 2+ years data science / analytics / programming experience
Education: BA or BS degree in a technical field such as: Economics,Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics
Critical Skills:
Demonstrated understanding of financial statement analysis and cost accountingprinciples
Demonstrated ability to tackle problems across the full data stack, fromdata wrangling (leveraging SQL or other methodologies) to stakeholderconsumption at scale
Strong grasp of fundamental statistical concepts: linear regression, A/Btesting, outlier analysis, probability distributions, tests forindependence, e
Knowledge of machine learning / data science best practices
Demonstrated experience data visualization skills (PowerBI, Tableau, RShiny)
Demonstrated experience with enterprise data, especially ERP systems(SAP, JD Edwards)
Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle)
