Data Center Customer Operations Engineer III

Job Summary
We currently have 2 x open position in which the successful candidate's will provides support to security system design and uses expertise to recommend system modifications.
The role will suit someone with some exposure to data centers or similar environments, or recent Diploma Graduates particularly those with experience in Networking.
Responsibilities
Installations
Racks and stacks customer equipmentReads installation plans (Visio Drawings / Spreadsheets) and implements installation accordingly
Queue Management
Determines work priorities from the Oracle queue and ensures adherence to all commit times
Testing/Troubleshooting
Troubleshoots switched / multiplexed / media converted circuits; escalates to, and works with networking group, as needed
Cross Connects
Installs/tests/modifies cross connects per SOPs and ensures proper cable management of: coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and intra-building cross connectsInstalls and tests advanced cross connects circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.)
Documentation/Reporting
Maintains detailed written records of all work activity
Projects
Leads advanced installations; provides input and identifies problems with drawings, and assists with verification of custom projects
Training
May provide training to others on operations procedures and basic safetyIdentifies site specific safety issues and integrates into training
Customer Management
Supports customer satisfaction through timely and precise order execution and quality assurance checks
Qualifications
3+ years experience in an IT field preferredDiploma / Degree in an IT field preferred
